"Katie's beautiful and captivating photographs speak for themselves, but I wanted to write a review so potential clients know what to expect from Katie herself. When we were in the planning stages, Katie had great suggestions in terms of times of day and local spots that would provide ideal conditions for our shoot. She utilized easy-to-use digital platforms to share and communicate about the session and subsequent photos. When the weather turned out to be lousy on our pre-determined date, she was quick to offer alternative dates/times when it would be prettier out. When I arrived at our location, she had clearly scouted the entire site for places that would not only be great for photo shots but which were also interesting and entertaining for my children. She actually conducted our whole session like an orchestra, bringing out different props or moving us to a new place just around the corner, all the while holding my children's interest (which made them cooperative!) and taking a wide variety of pictures of us - and them - together. I was a little nervous ahead of time, particularly in regards to whether I could sustain my kids' interest, but everything seemed completely under Katie's control.
